Please can anyone suggest how to fix this? Product: 82574L Gigabit Network Connectionīoth Ethernet ports are connected by cables to working networks. I believe that the entry requires the Intel e1000e driver so I downloaded igb-5.2.15.tar.gz from and installed it as follows: ![]() The first entry is the onboard controller (not working) the second in the PCIe card (working). Here is what I have done so far to try to resolve this (without success):Ġ0:19.0 Ethernet controller : Intel Corporation Device (rev 04)Ġ2:00.0 Ethernet controller : Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection I need two Ethernet ports so I want to get the onboard controller working. I have also installed a Intel Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter (PCIe) and that is detected and working. ![]() Lucid is not detected the onboard Ethernet controller properly. I must use Lucid because our development project requires a particular version of gcc and associated libraries. I have a new Dell OptiPlex 7020 desktop and I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32-bit (Lucid) on it.
